Please see below having regard for the issues posed by this new virus.
This is a new virus and everybody's immune system has to develop antibodies

Symptoms are a cough, temperature and breathing problems but most people seem to just have a mild cold or feel under the weather.

Mortality is 2-4% depending on test, country, how many people are actually being tested.... Apparently, older people, and people with underlying problems ( for example: immunosuppression, recent chemotherapy, lung disease etc are at higher risk, children seem to do ok). Therefore: anybody with symptoms should not turn up at the class just in case it is corona virus (although risk is low to moderate unless this person just travelled from a high-risk area)

If one has symptoms stay at home, ring NHS advise, they come to the house and test if they feel it is necessary, do not go to GP or hospital unless serious problems and even then better to ring, the GP may arrange direct hospital admission rather than potentially infecting the GP practise
Sweat does not transmit the virus but the droplets from coughing or saliva may do. It is of most importance not to cough into the open and if you sneeze do it into a paper towel or tissue and throw away the paper and wash the hands immediately.

During class, we should avoid to stick our fingers in mouth, nose, eyes (good idea in any case)!! We could advise to use sanitizer before and after practise, not sure if you can get any at present, but 20 seconds hand washing using soap before and after is a good idea
As an organisation (the BAF) we need to make clear that we cannot take on any responsibility, so if people want to train in spring course or even in their own dojo it is completely their own risk but at present there is no governmental advice regarding sport and contact sport in specific apart from taking general precautions.

Our dojo will remain open unless there is a direction that groups of people should not get together. Let’s all take sensible precautions and continue to practise together safely. The statistics show that you have a bigger chance of being struck by lightning than dying of this virus
